Delhi University will now hold online chat sessions with aspirants to various colleges this admission season. The students will be able to chat with experts in DU on the admission procedure for undergraduate and professional courses.
Professor S K Vij, dean, students’ welfare, said: ‘‘There will be realtime interactive question-answer sessions with experts from different departments. They will be available in different time slots.’’
The chat facility can be availed on DU website — www.du.ac.in — only on Tuesdays and Fridays from 4pm to 5pm starting April 30. The first session will be exclusively on BBS, BBE and BFIA courses followed by a chat on undergraduate admissions on May 4. Experts will be available to chat on BElEd and BEd, CATE and journalism on May 7, 11 and 14 respectively.
Gurpreet Singh Tuteja, deputy dean, students’ welfare, said: ‘‘Though the students will chat real time, the old chats will also be recorded for all to see.’’ The university will also provide information on tele helplines, e-mail and community radio before the sale of forms which is expected to start in the third week of May. |
